Triconails Lotion for dandruff. A lotion formulated for hair types suffering from dandruff, including those with a tendency to develop seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis. Seborrheic dermatitis is characterised by excessive oil production, which encourages the growth of the fungus Malassezia. Colonisation by this fungus produces a series of symptoms that are typical of this type of dermatitis: inflammation, flaking of the skin, irritation, and redness.

This lotion contains keratolytic ingredients such as salicylic acid, which help relieve itching while soothing the scalp. It also has a sebum regulating effect to balance out the excessive oiliness.

This new spray format allows for easy, focused application, with no need for rinsing. It can be applied to wet or dry hair (after hair has been washed), followed by gentle massaging to improve penetration. Ideal for times when symptoms are especially noticeable.

Instructions for use: Apply to the scalp when needed, holding the bottle a reasonable distance away. Does not require rinsing.

Active ingredients: Salicylic Acid, this is a beta-hydroxy acid with light keratolytic effects. It promotes defoliation of the skin, improving its texture and stimulating cell renewal. It also has comedolytic and sebostatic properties to help reduce excessive sebum. Polidocanol, This soothing ingredient provides effective and long-lasting relief for the discomfort associated with skin that tends to develop seborrheic dermatitis. Polidocanol is a mixture of macrogol lauryl ethers that contain an average of nine oxyethylene groups in the polyoxyethylene chain, which in turn contains a lipophilic part and a hydrophilic part. This molecular structure is what gives the substance its characteristic physical and chemical properties. Piroctone Olamine, This ingredient is used to control the balance of the skin’s ecosystem, to help reduce growth of the fungus Malassezia. It reduces irritation and regulates flaking and the process of epidermal separation. In vitro research has been performed to study this ingredient’s specific effectiveness against the fungus Malassezia. This graph shows how growth of that fungus is eventually inhibited as the concentration of the active ingredient is increased. The mechanism that produces this ingredient’s effectiveness is attributed to its antimicrobial and antifungal activity. Pre/Probiotic ingredient, This complex is used to help optimise the condition of the skin’s ecoflora, by strengthening its biological defences. It also enhances the skin’s radiance with its softening and restructuring effects.
